The facility has continuous Type (24*7), Multi-purpose, Gamma Irradiator with Split Type Source Frame. The design of the plant is of Product Overlap Type and Double Piling of Boxes. The product handling system is Two Tier roller conveyors, permitting the input and output of products in a continuous way without any interruption in the sequence of shuffling. It also incorporates the very unique feature of having split source frame on the same axis which provides the unique advantage to process the material for dose range as low as 100 Gy to 40KGy. The shuffling zone of the system unlike any other GRPP facility is within the cell area and the material once loaded over the conveyor only exits the cell after the full required dose is delivered to the material. 
This facility has the unique advantage of being able to process any product for a dose from as low as 100 Grays required for food items to a dose of 25kGy required for medical products or more. This range includes vegetables and fruits Requiring a dose of about 300Gy, food items such as atta, maida, rava, rice, wheat, cereals etc. which require a dose of 1kGy, spices which require a dose of 10 kGy and medical products which require a dose of upto 25 kGy.
